On June 24, the Arno and the sky above Florence will be colored with the glow of the “Fochi di San Giovanni”, the patron saint of the city. An ancient tradition that is carried out with great enthusiasm.
Every year the day of the patron opens in the morning, with the traditional “Historical Procession” for delivery, at 10:00 a.m. in the Baptistery, of the Ceri and the Crosses to the Mayor and the Archbishop of the city of Florence. To follow at 10:45 a.m. in the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore celebration of the Holy Mass in homage to the Patron. In the afternoon the match of the Final of the Calcio Storico Fiorentino and in the evening the traditional “fochi” (fireworks)
